Learn to Crochet Part 1 is for beginners and teaches the very basics of crochet.

Students will learn the basic stitches of crochet working row-on-row and in the round. The language of crochet and basic chart reading will be covered using the Ruffle and "V" Stitch Scarf patterns.  

Teacher: Kat

Materials Required: One ball of DK weight yarn for practicing stitches (suggestion: Diamond Luxury Fine Merino Super-wash DK, one crochet hook size 5mm, and one skein of fingering weight yarn to do a ruffle or "V" stitch scarf. The fingering weight yarn can be purchased at the first class and students can do both scarves if they choose.

*Materials can be purchased from Spun at 10% OFF the regular price, before/after class, based on the teacher's recommendations.

Prerequisites: None.

Cost: $60 + materials 

Time: 4 Hours over 2 weeks


Sunday July 3rd & 10th 1:00pm -3:00pm

Monday September 19th & 26th 10:00am - 12:00pm

LOCATION: This class is held at Spun Fibre Arts 2395 Lakeshore Rd. West in Bronte Village
Parking is available on Jones, south of Lakeshore or the municipal lot at Ontario St. Please do not park in any other business or private lots.
