Have you been thinking about learning how to knit this year?
Introduction to Knitting with Sarah-Margaret will cover casting on, binding off, the knit stitch and the purl stitch.
We will discuss how to hold your needles and yarn as well as how to read a pattern and the information on the ball band.
In the first class we learn how to cast on and do the knit stitch on a practice swatch. At the end of class we will cast on the homework project, a dishcloth. In the second session we will learn the purl stitch and how to create different textures by using the knit and purl stitches together following a pattern.
Patterns for several dishcloths are provided in the class.
