Have you been thinking about learning how to crochet this year?
Introduction to Crochet with Sarah-Margaret will cover the basic stitches of crochet, including chain stitch, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, and treble crochet.
In the first session we will start by making a practice swatch of single crochet and double crochet. We will finish the class by starting our first project to be worked on in the following week. In the second session we will finish that project as well as learn two more stitches. We will also discuss how to hold the hook, crochet terminology, how to seam the work as well as how to read a pattern.
A pattern for a soap saver bag, as well as a cowl/ scarf are included.
Technology Required: Zoom App, computer or Tablet
Materials Required:100g dishcloth cotton, 5mm crochet hook (metal preferred), 3 locking stitch markers, darning needle.
Prerequisites: None, absolutely no experience required.
Cost: $80 plus materials
