Have you seen a cable pattern and thought to yourself that it's beautiful but you couldn't possibly do that? One of the best kept secrets of knitting is just how simple these twists are. In this one session online class we will learn how to knit front and back cables, as well as right and left twisted stitches. In class we will work on a swatch and you will be ready to cast on a project at the end of class.
The class includes a pattern for fingerless mittens that feature cables.
Learning outcomes: Front and back cables, three stranded/braid cable, left and right twisted stitches.
 
Class is held virtually from the comfort and safety of your own home via the Zoom conferencing App. A computer, tablet or handheld device is essential for participating.
 

Teacher: Sarah-Margaret 

Technology Required: Zoom App, computer or Tablet

Materials Required: US 8/ 5mm 24" circular or straight needles, 50g of worsted weight yarn, cable needle. for fingerless mittens (optional): US 10/ 6mm 24" circular or straight needles, 100g of bulky weight yarn, darning needle, cable needle.

Prerequisites: Confident with knit and purl stitches and casting on and off. *beginner friendly*

Cost: $40 plus materials
